We are sustainably growing our globally distributed team across GTM, operations and engineering teams. In 2025, we are planning to almost double our team size to grow to about 120 team members.

LocalStack as a project emerged from the efforts of Waldemar Hummer (WH) at Atlassian back in 2016. In early 2021, WH and Gerta Sheganaku (GS) were able to successfully secure Seed funding, together with CRV and HeavyBit. The company as it exists now was founded in May 2021 by WH, GS, and Thomas Rausch (TR).
